Wow! Again, it has been ages since I have updated my website.. I am just going through very busy times at work and in my private life.. Just sitting on Dazz' PC , listening to him playing 'Hallelujah' on his guitar - beautiful.. I am missing my friend Jackie, who is in South Africa since November last year. But I have ordered my plane ticket to see her in July - Woohoo! Can't wait.
I will go to Galway in March (work related) for another site visit regarding our main event - the IALC workshop. I will stay on for the weekend and plan a trip to the Aran Islands.. I hope for good weather so I can take loads of fantastic shots with my camera!
Oh, I joined the Folkestone/googies book club and we meet once a month.. currently reading 'The various flavours of coffee' - very interesting..
I also started a Chinese language course which is being held weekly in the Cube in Folkestone..
We had a lot of snow this week - unbelievable! Will upload some pics soon.. On Wednesday, the police closed the road from Hawkinge to Folkestone, so everyone had to walk home.. Jo, David and I went to the pub first, which must have had a lot of income this evening.. ;)
Okay, gotta go.. have to call my mum - I guess she misses me.. but I do as well..

Hello everyone
Today is my last day in Russia. I have been to Moscow from 10-13 October and stayed here in St. Petersburg from Tuesday, 13 October until today. It is 11 o’clock now and I am about to pack my suitcase.
I had a wonderful time here, although the Russians are quite funny people. And I don’t mean funny ha ha. Moscow is okay-ish. Beautiful architecture, of course. That’s what you would expect.. But apart from that it is not very charming. St. Petersburg on the other hand is more sort of European. Due to bad weather I didn’t really see a lot but I have been to the church of spilled blood and the shopping centre (yay!). I bought some gorgeous ear rings! Last night I went out with three colleagues from IALC schools and we had a lovely time drinking German beer in an ‘English’ pub.
Okay, I have to go. I fly back to London, stay in an airport hotel at Stansted before I fly to Cologne tomorrow morning to meet my lovely friends, one who is getting married on Saturday – about bloody time! Hehe.. I will try and upload some pictures once I am at the airport

Blimey, haven't been here for ages.. I was really busy during the last weeks.. mainly related to work. I got back from Istanbul last Tuesday, where I organised my first Roadshow for IALC. I had a great time! Lovely people, a fantastic city and lots of fun - oh, not to forget: a successful workshop. :-) Next week Russia (Moscow and St. Petersburg) for two more workshops. I'm very excited and can't wait. It's supposed to be very cold there at the moment (about 6 degrees). After Russia I am going to Cologne where one of my friends is getting married - woohoo! And I'm going to see my best friend Jackie! Well, not feeling well.. got a cold so I better go back to my sofa :-) See you later xx
7-10 August 2009 - Germany
It was that time of year again - Jackie's birthday! I flew to Frankfurt on Friday and met Jackie and her brother Rudi at the airport in the afternoon. We still had to prepare things for the big party on Saturday. Jackie was celebrating her birthday with three other guys (Pat, Chris and Marina) in Eltville at the river Rhine. It was great fun and we were partying, dancing and drinking until 6 o'clock in the morning. I only slept for three hours as I had to get a train to Stuttgart on Sunday afternoon to meet my mate Katrin who is expecting a baby soon and my friend Thomas. :-) I had a fab time, despite the rain and the fact that everything were Thomas wanted to go to was closed on Monday. Monday is not a good day for visiting Stuttgart. All museums are closed. Which is why we drove just outside Stuttgart and ended up in a nice wine pub. I had a great time, especially because I hadn't seen Katrin, Torsten and Thomas for ages. Hope all is going well with the baby.
29 July - 3 August 2009 - Trip up North
What should have been a trip to Cambridge Folk Festival ended in a trip to Manchester and Knutsford. Jackie and I met in Manchester to explore the city. We spent three days there. Maybe we went to the wrong places, but Manchester is not that interesting. I expected a lot more. On Saturday, 1 August we took the train to Ashley. It's not far from Manchester Airport, only 10 miles., about 30 minutes by train from Manchester Piccadilly. Because I couldn't get hold of tickets for the Cambridge Folk Festival I had a look online for other festivals taking place the same weekend. And that's how I found out about Tatton Park Festival, near Knutsford. I booked a room in very cosy B&B in Ashley, Sugarbrook Farm, which is owned by a couple with two kids. The weather wasn't perfect, is has rained for two days and Tatton Park was covered in mud. It started at 7 o'clock in the evening with an orchestra, followed by fireworks - it was just beautiful. Some 80s bands were waiting for us on the Sunday: Belinda Carlisle, Go West, Heaven 17, Human League and ABC. We had loads of fun and the park was packed. We stayed another night and went home on Monday.
